Bill Versek, co-founder of Ver-E-Safe Solutions, ran a personal protective equipment business for someone else in Philadelphia and enjoyed it so much that he decided to start his own along with his wife, Diana.
"We liked the interaction with the customers and running the business," he said. "We wanted to move to Florida and did lots of research into the different markets. We saw need in this area that is in between two major cities."
Ver-E-Safe Solutions is a full service distributor and wholesaler of personal protective equipment. It also stocks traffic control devices and first aid products for facilities. "Our purpose is to help people be safe on the job," Versek explained. "What distinguishes us is we don't just take orders. We provide safety solutions. We don't say 'this is what we have and this is the price, buy from us.' We provide service at a higher, more personalized level so our customers have the products they need to provide a safe workplace for their employees."
Versek's advice to aspiring entrepreneurs is to follow your passion. "The number one thing is do something you love to do," he said. "If you don’t love it or feel it’s a chore and can't wait to get home, then don’t even think about it. It's not just a way of providing an income. You should feel called to use your talents in a way that is productive for you and others in society."
