The City of Miami’s Department of Human Services aims to unify the collaborative efforts of the City Manager’s Office, City of Miami Departments, and local Community Organizations to improve the delivery of human services to economically disadvantaged families and individuals. Acting as a gateway to self-sufficiency, the goal is to streamline efforts to promote and communicate citizen awareness of available programs while increasing the overall delivery of services through the Department of Human Services.

Since 1964, the Florida Economic Development Council has promoted economic development throughout the state of Florida. Today we are its primary resource for developing economic development professionals, issues education, networking, and recognition of excellence among members of the profession. 500+ professionals count on FEDC to educate, advocate, and connect on their behalf.

MiamiShared

MiamiShared is a modern co-working space located in Downtown Miami. Our mission is to bring the startup culture to Miami by promoting and fostering entrepreneurship. We aim to serve as the TECH HUB for Miami and build a vibrant coworking community.

Miami Bayside Foundation

Florida Venture Forum

The Florida Venture Forum is a statewide member organization that helps entrepreneurs obtain funding through education, strategic partnering and effective networking. The Forum's educational programs provide in-depth information on topics such as raising debt and equity capital, human resources, finance, management, term sheet negotiation, valuations, marketing and R&D.

Miami MBDA Export Center

The Miami MBDA Export Center, operated by M. Gill & Associates, Inc., provides technical assistance and business development services to generate increased financing, contract opportunities, and greater access to new and global markets for minority business enterprises (MBEs). The Center is also designed to help identify, screen, promote, and refer MBEs to exporting resources, and to engage in and/or expand exporting.

Florida Division of Corporations | Sunbiz

Our activities include a variety of business entity filings, trade and service mark registrations, federal lien recordings, judgment lien filings, uniform commercial code financing statements, fictitious name registrations, notary commissions, and cable and video service franchises.

Enterprise Florida

Enterprise Florida recruits new business to the state, and works to retain and expand existing industry and business. We provide site selection services, demographic information, incentive information and much more.

Endeavor Miami

At Endeavor Miami we trust that selected entrepreneurs will inspire, become role models, mentors and investors of other entrepreneurs, while we provide them with targeted services to help them grow.

City of Miami Business Tax Receipts

Any person doing business in Miami-Dade County must obtain a Miami-Dade County Local Business Tax Receipt. Businesses also need to obtain a city Business Tax Receipt from the municipality where the business is located. The Local Business Tax is imposed for the privilege of doing business in Miami-Dade County .
