Kristi Furnari, co-founder of Ripple Coworking, decided to start the business partly because she experienced an unmet need for a professional office space in Flagler Beach. The business model also fit well with another venture she and her husband run, which operates coworking space for lawyers.
"When we moved here, I knew I didn’t want to work from home because I get easily distracted," Furnari explained. "We rented office space in Bunnell while searching for a beachside location. I eventually found a small building in Flagler Beach, but felt isolated from the business community working with my team in a tiny office. After speaking with many other professionals who experienced the same struggle, I thought a coworking space could thrive in Flagler Beach."
With the decision to move forward made, Furnari secured a prime building in Flagler Beach on A1A with unobstructed views of the ocean and the Flagler Pier. "We have a wonderful location," she said. "Flagler Beach has a great vibe and is a wonderful community. With this inspired workplace and supportive professional community, I anticipate Ripple Coworking will be a destination for Flagler professionals living a beachside lifestyle. It will be a fun place to work."
Furnari's advice for aspiring entrepreneurs is to follow your passion. "Do something you enjoy," she said. "That way you'll be more likely to succeed."
