SCORE is offering a 3-session workshop series called "Steps to Business Ownership" spread over the following 3 Saturday mornings from 9:00am until 12:00pm: Saturday, Feb 11, 2017 Saturday, Feb 18, 2017 Saturday, Feb 25, 2017 Each workshop is interactive with examples, and supporting resources. Presenters are seasoned business people who want to see you succeed. SCORE mentors will attend and be available to work with you for free outside of class. Session 1 will provide an understanding of what it takes to own a business. You will learn ownership options, the pros and cons of each, responsibilities, and what it takes to succeed. This workshop is designed to help you reach a decision on whether you are ready to take the next step. Sessions 2 and 3 address the key steps to business ownership. Microsoft Excel can be a powerful tool to help you model your business that, in turn, lets you make predictions and decisions to ensure success. This workshop will show you how to use Excel to collect your financials/cash flow and do basic projections to make sure that your business is ready for business peaks and valleys [especially important in our local marketplace where a lot of business depends on “snowbirds”].
