Patti Sarinana, founder of P.S. Marketing Maven, fell in love with entrepreneurship very early on.
"At a very young age, I went door to door selling Girl Scout cookies," she said. "For three years, I set a goal for myself to be the top cookie seller so I did everything I needed to do to make that happen. Later, as an adult, I worked for various companies doing sales and marketing. It came full circle when I was at a crossroads in 2015. I found myself at a company that didn't mesh with my goals. I loved sales and marketing. I was skilled at copywriting and videography and had been creating marketing campaigns for the companies I worked for so I decided to do those things for other businesses to help them grow."
P.S. Marketing Maven produces creative content for social media marketing campaigns in addition to marketing development.
"We consult with clients, review their goals and ensure their marketing goals are in line with business strategy," Sarinana explained. "We produce our own content. We are a full-service agency providing photo, videography as well as copywriting that highlights your local community and lifestyle in regards to your business’s services/products instead of stock."
Sarinana's recommends entrepreneurs read Dale Carnegie's How To Win Friends and Influence People. Her advice to aspiring entrepreneurs is to use your fear as motivation.
"In the beginning it was kind of scary because I went from working for a company to being in charge of everything from expenses to scheduling to presenting and every single aspect possible," she said. "Being afraid isn't necessary. Turn that fear into that drive to get things done. Too often you wait for the right time to make something happen instead of dipping your toe in water and doing it. You have 24 hours in a day so make every minute count."
